Sausage And Mushroom Spirals
- 1 lb. ground sausage
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 2 1/2 oz. jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 2 (8 oz.) cans crescent rolls
- 1 egg, beaten
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown sausage; drain well.
- Stir in onion, parsley, cream cheese and mushrooms.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
- Separate dough into 8 rectangles.
- Press together perforations. Spread about 1/4 cup meat mixture over each rectangle. Starting at largest end, roll up jelly roll fashion.
- Pinch edges and ends. Cut each roll into 4 pieces.
- Place, cut side down, on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Brush with egg. Bake 16 to 21 minutes until a deep golden brown.
- Serve warm with sauces (Dijon mustard, horseradish sauce, etc.) to dip in.
