Shrimp Marsala
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 pound raw colossal shrimp, peeled, rinsed and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 ounces presliced fresh button mushrooms
- 1/2 cup marsala wine
- Fresh parsley, snipped (optional)
- Sprinkle the flour over the shrimp, shaking off the excess.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat, swirling to coat the bottom.
- Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes.
- Turn over.
- Stir in the mushrooms and marsala.
- Increase the heat to high and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to a consistency almost like melted caramels, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle with the parsley.
