Snowball Cake
- 1 large pkg. strawberry Jell-O
- 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 large angel food cake
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 pkg. Angel Flake coconut
- 3 pkg. whipped topping (Dream Whip)
- Dissolve gelatin in 4 tablespoons cold water.
- Add 1 cup boiling water.
- Let cool.
- Add juice of lemon, pineapple, sugar and salt.
- Mix thoroughly and put in refrigerator to cool.
- While this is partially setting, break cake into bite size pieces.
- Also prepare 2 packages of Dream Whip as directed.
- When gelatin mixture is partially set, mix with whipped topping.
- Line a 4-quart bowl with wax paper.
- Mix gelatin mixture and cake pieces thoroughly and pour into lined bowl.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Turn cake onto cake plate.
- Frost with the third box of whipped topping, prepared as directed.
- Cover generously with coconut.
