Cedar Plank Salmon
- 1 whole Cedar Plank
- 1 whole Salmon Filet
- 2 pinches Kosher Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Club House La Grille Salmon Seasoning
- Directions: 1) Soak cedar plank(s) in water for 1 or 2 hours.
- You soak them to help them not catch on fire in the grill, and also to create some steam when grilling.
- If you soak them more than 2 hours the cedar flavoring lessens.
- 2) Buy some nice salmon fillets.
- We buy ours from Costco and its skinless, which is what I prefer, but skin-on is fine as well.
- 3) Fire up BBQ grill.
- Crank it up to high to get hot, then turn down the burners that will be directly under the salmon.
- 4) Sprinkle your cedar plank with kosher or coarse salt.
- This helps the salmon not to stick to the board.
- 5) Place salmon on salted plank and season with Club House La Grill Salmon Seasoning.
- 6) Place salmon in BBQ grill (remember to turn down the burners directly under to prevent board from burning), close lid and try to keep it closed for the entire 15-20 minutes of cooking.
- Of course, open the lid if you think the plank might be on fire!
