Farmer's Recipe Kabocha Spring Rolls with Cream Cheese

  1. Remove the seeds and fiber from the kabocha squash.
  2. Chop into 8 slices of about 4 mm in thickness.
  3. Spread cream cheese on one side of the sliced kabocha.
  4. Sprinkle a pinch of coarsely ground pepper and sandwich them.
  5. Wrap the kabocha prepared in step 2 with spring roll wrappers.
  6. Use flour dissolved in water like glue to close the ends.
  7. Heat oil to 180C and fry until golden brown to finish.
  8. (About 4 to 5 minutes)
  9. Sprinkle salt generously and enjoy.
