Honey Garlic Shrimp and Cilantro Lime Rice Bowl

  1. To prepare the rice, bring water to a boil in a medium pot.
  2. Add rice, cover, and let stand for 5 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
  3. Remove cover and fluff rice with a fork.
  4. Add cilantro, salt, garlic powder, and lime juice.
  5. Lightly stir to combine.
  6. Set aside.
  7. To make the shrimp, combine olive oil, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a large bowl.
  8. Add shrimp and lightly toss to coat.
  9. Pour shrimp mixture into a large skillet.
  10. Sear shrimp until browned and opaque, about 34 minutes on each side.
  11. Remove from skillet.
  12. Top cilantro lime rice with shrimp and drizzle with extra sauce, if desired.
  13. Serve immediately.
