Camp Stew

  1. In a large pot, simmer the first 4 ingredients until very tender. When tender, remove bone, fat and skin. Shred meat with fingers. Add to meat and broth mixture the remaining ingredients. Cook until potato and beef are done, adding water if necessary. Stew should be about the consistency of stew. Easy and very good and inexpensive to cook. Serves 8 to 10.
