French Country Inn Caramel-Apple Pie

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Prepare crust in 9-inch pie plate as directed on package for one-crust filled pie.
  3. Microwave caramels and 2 Tbsp.
  4. half-and-half in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.
  5. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute.
  6. Process nuts and flour in food processor until nuts are finely ground.
  7. Add caramel sauce; pulse just until blended.
  8. Add eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and remaining half-and-half; pulse just until blended.
  9. Place apples in crust; cover with caramel mixture.
  10. Bake 45 to 50 min.
  11. or until pie filling is slightly puffed and crust is golden brown.
  12. Cool.
