Eve'S Peanut Butter Pie

  1. Blend together powdered sugar and peanut butter until crumbly. Spread 2/3 of mixture in pie shell and set aside.
  2. In bowl, put sugar, salt and cornstarch.
  3. Stir in milk; mix until smooth.
  4. Over medium heat, bring to boil, stirring.
  5. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Add a little of the hot mixture to egg yolks, mixing well.
  8. Pour back into saucepan.
  9. Return to heat and continue to cook until thick.
  10. Add butter and vanilla.
  11. Pour over layer in pie shell.
  12. In bowl, beat egg whites and sugar until form peaks.
  13. Spread on pie.
  14. Bake in 350u0b0 oven 10 to 12 minutes or until meringue is browned.
