jalapeno pepper poppers
- 12 jalapeno pepers
- 3 oz grater monterrey jack
- 3 oz cheddar
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (i used valentina but u can use tabasco or any of you like)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp dried oregano
- 4 or 5 cups ov vegetable oir to deep-fry
- 1/2 tbsp peper
- 1 tbsp salt
- wash and cut the jalapenos, just cut the tail side cut the top veins with a knife then i used a bottom part of the spoon rotaring inside the jalapeno to extract the veins and seeds!
- mix the cheese, hot sauce, oregano, salt and peper!
- then stuff the chiles with the mix!
- in another shallow bowl lightly beat egg dip chiles in it!
- then coated with bread crumbs, put them on a plate, keep coating the rest, then go back to the first one dip in on egg again and put another coat of bread crumbs!
- heat oil to aroud 325 in a medium sauce pan!
- once is hot fry chiles in batches until golden brown or about 5 to 6 mins!
- then dry them in a bunch of towels to take some grease off!
- and they ready!
- i will suggest dip them with ranch!
