Bay Scallop Stew Recipe
- 2 Tbsp. Minced shallot
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 c. Dry white wine
- 1 c. Heavy cream
- 2 c. Lowfat milk (not skim or possibly 2%)
- 3 Tbsp. Snipped chives
- 1 lb Scallops Or possibly
- 1/2 lb Scallops AND **
- 1/2 lb Lobster meat **
- 1 tsp White pepper (or possibly to taste)
- Restaurant - Bar Harbor, Me.
- Bay Scallop Stew In heavy sauce pan saute/fry shallots in butter, add in wine; boil.
- Lower heat and simmer 2 minutes.
- Add in scallops, simmer 5 minutes.
- Add in lowfat milk, cream and chives.
- Stir till warm.
- Don't boil.
- salt and white pepper.
- Serve.
- prep time 30 - 45 minutes.
- **Alternative: 1/2 # scallop - 1/2 # lobster meat.
- Stew will separate slightly.
