Fruit Seed Slice
- 50 g butter
- 12 cup raw sugar
- 14 cup golden syrup
- 34 cup pepitas
- 34 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 Weet-Bix, crushed
- 12 cup rolled oats
- 12 cup self-raising flour
- 12 cup dried cranberries or 12 cup dates or 12 cup dried apricot
- Pre-heat oven to 170.C/150.C fan forced.
- Line a 20cm square pan with baking paper, letting 2 ends overhang for handles.
- Place butter,sugar and syrup in a medium saucepan,stir over moderate heat until sugar dissolves.
- Cool for 5 mins, add seeds, cereals, flour & fruit, mix well until ingredients are well-coated & combined.
- Press mixture evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 mins, until set & golden.
- Cool completely in pan, lift layer onto a cutting board & cut into slices.
- Wrap individually in baking paper then plastic wrap, store airtight.
