Pa Apps' Spaghetti Sauce(From Medina High'S Class Of '69)
- 2 (2 1/2 oz.) or 1 large pkg. spaghetti mix
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 gal. tomato sauce or juice
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomato puree
- 1 (12 oz.) or 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1/2 c. Romano grated cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan grated cheese
- 1 Tbsp. red hot pepper
- 1 Tbsp. dehydrated minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. celery salt or flakes
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or 4 shots garlic juice
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
- 2 c. water
- Mix all ingredients in 8-quart kettle and throughout, stir. Heat on medium heat.
- Let cook in slow boil for 1/2 to 3/4 hour. After cooled, put in containers and freeze.
- When reheating, use low to medium heat so not to burn.
- Makes 1 3/4 gallons of sauce.
