Marinated Beef And Broccoli Supper(Sirloin Steak Is Tenderized In A Light Ginger Marinade)
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3 c. broccoli flowerets
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic
- 1 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 3 x 1/2-inch strips
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces

- In a 10-inch skillet, melt margarine until sizzling.
- Add broccoli and onion.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender (5 to 6 minutes).
- Meanwhile, in medium bowl, stir together remaining ingredients except steak, tomatoes and rice.
- Add sirloin strips; let stand 5
- minutes.
- Add sirloin and marinade to vegetable mixture.
- Continue cooking and stirring occasionally, until meat is browned (6 to 8 minutes).
- Stir in tomatoes and cover.
- Let stand 2 minutes or until heated thoroughly.
- Serve meat and vegetables with juices over cooked rice.
- Makes 4 servings in 30 minutes.
