How To Make Green Chile Stew That Will Get You A Date
- 1 whole Pork Roast
- 12 whole Fresh-roasted Green Chiles
- 1 can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 whole Yellow Onion, Minced
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cups Flour
- I am working off a loose recipe and working abstractly, for all you creative types out there.
- Season the pork roast with salt and pepper, and put it in a crock pot or slow cooker set to simmer or low.
- Walk away from about 8-9 hours.
- When you come back, you can cut up the roast into smaller pieces.
- Add the can of diced tomatoes (home canned or store bought), minced onion, garlic, and about 10 -12 fresh roasted delish green chiles from your friendly roaster at the supermarket.
- Then, walk away again or go to sleep for the night you get the idea (another 8 9 hours).
- Morning will arrive.
- Your stew will be mouth-watering, but youre not done yet!
- Pour yourself about 1/2 cup or so of flour into a small bowl and use liquid from the stew to make a paste out of it.
- Once it is liquidy enough, add it to your stew, mix it up and this will thicken the stew.
- You are supposed to put the stew in the fridge to set now for about 6 hours, but it didnt make it that long in my house.
- We were warming up tortillas and slurping it out of the bowl right away.
- Cheers (ala Kitchen Goddess)!
