Chicken Paprika(Serves 5)
- 2 lb. chicken pieces
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 3/4 c. cooking oil
- 1 head cauliflower, broken into pieces
- 2 onions, finely diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 bunch dill, finely diced
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
- egg noodles
- Saute the onions in the oil.
- Stir in paprika and cayenne pepper.
- Add the chicken and tomato.
- Season with salt.
- Add the cauliflower.
- Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
- (Do not add water as the chicken will release sufficient liquid for the purpose.)
- Blend the sour cream, flour and a little water.
- Add to the chicken mixture.
- Boil the noodles in salted water.
- Heat the butter.
- Add the dill.
- Pour over noodles.
- Serve the chicken mixture over the noodles.
