My Mom's Apple Crisp
- 5 -6 tart apples
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 12 cup flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 34 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Peel and slice apples.
- Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Place in lightly greased 9x9 pan.
- Mix remaining ingredients, except butter, in a medium bowl.
- Add butter.
- Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Sprinkle over the apples.
- Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are soft and topping is browned.
