- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 finely chopped large onion
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 8 oz. can mushroom pieces and juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1/2 c. water (rinse soup cans)
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- lemon pepper
- 4 oz. pkg. noodles or elbow macaroni, cooked
- 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
- Brown beef in skillet.
- Add onion, green pepper and mushrooms. Cook until tender and add salt, pepper and oregano.
- Combine soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and 2 dashes of lemon pepper in a separate bowl and mix well.
- Place a layer of cooked noodles in a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole, add a layer of meat mixture and repeat.
- Top with cheese and bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Serves 6.
