Kelly'S Spaghetti Sauce
- 5 cans Hunt's tomato sauce
- 2 cans Hunt's tomato paste (8 oz. + 14 oz.)
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 lb. browned hamburger
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp. powdered garlic
- 2 to 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 1 to 2 tsp. white sugar
- Add all ingredients except the hamburger and sugar into a 2 or 3-quart pot, burner to medium for 15 minutes, while stirring sauce often.
- Then lower heat to simmer for 1 to 2 hours and add sugar (sprinkled over the top of the sauce), then brown and drain hamburger and add.
- Cover.
- Remember to stir sauce every 15 to 20 minutes or more to assure no burning and even seasoning.
- Serves 6 to 10.
