All American Meat Casserole
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (6 oz.)
- 1/3 c. sour cream
- 1/3 c. chopped scallions
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. chilies
- 1 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 oz. spaghetti noodles
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 drops Tabasco
- Blend first 3 ingredients, then add next 5 ingredients. Meanwhile, cook noodles 5 minutes.
- Drain and toss in 3 tablespoons butter.
- Saute beef in 1 to 2 tablespoons butter (take off heat).
- Drain.
- Add tomato sauce and last 3 ingredients.
- Then in casserole, put 1/2 tomato meat sauce, 1/2 noodles, cheese mixture, 1/2 noodles and 1/2 tomato meat sauce.
- Can be refrigerated.
- Take out of fridge 20 minutes before cooking for 50 to 60 minutes at 350u0b0.
