Russian Teacake (Nut Balls)
- 1 cup Soften Butter
- 1/2 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 cup Flower
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Finely Chopped Nuts
- 1/2 cup Little extra confectioners sugar for rolling.
- Pre-heat oven to 450
- Thoroughly mix butter, sugar and vanilla together.
- Work in flour, salt and nuts until dough holds together.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place on undressed baking sheet.
- Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until set, but not brown.
- While warm, roll in extra confectioners sugar.
- Cool.
- Roll in sugar again.
- Makes 3 dozen
