Pickled Oysters

  1. In a 2-quart saucepan combine spices and sugar with the vinegar over high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Place in refrigerator until well chilled.
  5. When cold, add oysters.
  6. Marinate overnight.
  7. The following day bring to a boil for 1 minute.
  8. Chill completely.
