A Colourful Bunch of Balloons

  1. Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes.
  2. Cool in pans 15 min.
  3. Remove from pans to wire racks; cool completely.
  4. Spoon 3/4 cup Cool Whip into each of 4 small bowls.
  5. Tint each with food colouring.
  6. Frost 6 cupcakes with each colour Cool Whip.
  7. Tape 1 piece of ribbon to bottom of each cupcake liner.
  8. Arrange cupcakes on large platter just before serving.
  9. Tie loose ends of all ribbons together; place on platter.
  10. Refrigerate leftovers.
