Gourmet Pork Chops
- 6 loin chops (1/2-inch thick)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
- 1 can French fried onions
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- dash of pepper
- Coat chops with mixture of flour, salt and pepper.
- Brown on both sides in shortening.
- Place in baking pan.
- Combine soup, 3/4 cup of water, ginger and rosemary and pour over chops.
- Sprinkle with half the onions.
- Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 50 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Uncover and sprinkle with remaining onions and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove meat; blend sour cream into sauce. Heat and use this for gravy.
- Good served with rice or noodles.
