Easy Shepherd's Pie Recipe
- 2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 sm. onion
- 2 lg. carrots
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 can butter beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 can golden brown mushroom soup
- Bay leaf
- Seasoning salt to taste
- 6 servings instant mashed potatoes
- 1 egg, beaten
- Melted butter
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Brown meat, add in vegetables, saute/fry lightly.
- Combine all but last 3 ingredients in casserole.
- Bake 1 1/2 hrs at 375 degrees.
- Make instant mashed potatoes for 6 servings.
- Add in beaten egg.
- "Frost" pie.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Bake till lightly browned.
