Chinese Sweet N Sour Spareribs Recipe
- 2 c. water
- 1 1/2 pound spareribs, cut in 1 inch lengths
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tbsp. sherry
- In a heavy pan, heat water, ribs, soy sauce, and salt; when mix boils, turn down heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add in sugar and sherry.
- Turn heat high and continue to cook till the liquid is all evaporated.
- Blend sauce ingredients, pour slowly over ribs.
- Cook for about 2 min.
- Place ribs on a flat dish and top with sauce.
- Makes 3 or possibly 4 servings.
