Boiled Chestnuts Using a Pressure Cooker

  1. Wash the chestnuts, put them in a pressure cooker, and add enough water to cover them.
  2. Heat the pressure cooker until it comes up to pressure.
  3. Lower the heat and cook under pressure for 5 minutes.
  4. Leave the cooker to cool and de-pressurize naturally.
  5. Drain the chestnuts into a colander, and peel them using a knife.
  6. Be careful not to cut yourself!
  7. Eat as-is.
  8. Or put them in simmered dishes, stir fries and so on.
  9. Add them at the very end.
