Vickys Homemade Worcestershire Sauce, Vegan
- 240 ml cider vinegar
- 80 ml treacle/molasses
- 60 ml water
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 3/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/8 tsp allspice
- 1/8 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 1/2 tsp tamarind paste
- 1 tsp anchovy paste (leave out if vegan)
- Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan.
- Bring to the boil and whisk ingredients together well
- Strain then pour into a sterilized glass jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 8 months
- Makes around 380mls or 1&1/2 cups
