Mother's Hot Dish (Old Family Recipe) Recipe
- 1 green pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. noodles
- 1 pound round cheese (Longhorn)
- 2 cans tomato puree
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dice green pepper and cook with hamburger till brown and in crumbly pcs, set aside.
- Cook noodles according to directions; dice cheese into 1/2 inch pcs.
- Using a casserole dish; (I spray with Pam) make a layer of noodles and a layer of meat and cheese.
- Another layer of each and end with meat mix at top.
- Place cheese pcs on top and pour the puree over the entire mix.
- Use a sharp knife inserted to let puree run through the casserole.
- Bake 30 min to one hour.
