Lasagne
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. lasagne noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese slices (low-fat)
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown meat and drain.
- Add onion and cook until tender.
- Stir in tomato paste, water, garlic and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
- In a 12 x 8-inch baking dish, layer half of noodles, meat sauce, Ricotta or cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes or until heated through.
- Yields 6 to 8 servings.
