Healthy Apple Treats

  1. Place oats on a rimmed baking sheet and toast at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes until just lightly browned.
  2. (If youre short on time, you can skip toasting the oats.
  3. I like them to have a little crunchy texture.)
  4. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except whole almonds.
  5. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Scoop out about 1 tablespoon dough and then roll between your palms to create the balls.
  7. Its helpful to wet the palms of your hand a little bit before rolling to prevent sticking.
  8. I wet them a few times during the process.
  9. Place one whole almond on its side on top of each ball.
  10. Press gently to secure.
  11. Store in an airtight container or gallon-size bag in the refrigerator or freezer.
