Smothered Steak And Onions

  1. Combine bouillon granules and hot water; stir well, and set aside.
  2. Sprinkle steaks with lemon-herb seasoning.
  3. Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
  4. Add steaks; cook 2 minutes in each side or until browned. Add onion and bouillon; bring to a boil.
  5. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 12 minutes or until onion is tender.
  6. Remove steaks and onion from skillet with a slotted spoon; set aside. and keep warm. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup water, stir well.
  7. Add to cooking liquid in skillet; cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly.
  8. Place rice on a plate and top with steak and onion.
  9. Divide gravy evenly over each serving.
  10. Makes 4 servings.
