Apple and Raisin Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 Royal Gala apple - peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup golden raisins
- Melt butter in a skillet over low heat.
- Add apples, and increase the heat to medium-high.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the white wine, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and golden raisins.
- Cook over medium heat until the liquid has reduced and is thick.
