Busy Day Chicken And Mushrooms(For Crock-Pot)
- 1 frying chicken, cut up
- 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. dry Italian salad dressing mix
- 1 c. cream of mushroom soup
- 2 (3 oz.) cream cheese, cut in cubes
- 1/2 c. dry sherry
- 1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 1 (4 oz.) c. mushrooms, drained
- Wash chicken; pat dry.
- Brush with butter.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place in crock-pot.
- Sprinkle dry salad mix over. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
- About 45 minutes before serving, mix soup, cream cheese, sherry and onions in a small saucepan.
- Cook until smooth.
- Pour over chicken along with mushrooms.
- Cook 30 more minutes on low.
- Serve with sauce over rice or noodles.
- Makes 4 to 5 servings.
