Barley And Shrimp Dinner Recipe

  1. *NOTE: You can use extra chicken broth if you want to remove this fat.
  2. We used fresh green peas and they were wonderful.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over med heat.
  4. Add in barley, garlic and turmeric.
  5. Cook, stirring, till barley is golden brown, about 3 minutes.
  6. Stir in parsley, cherry tomatoes, clam juice and wine.
  7. Bring to boil.
  8. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 35 minutes.
  9. (It really should be closer to 40 min)
  10. Arrange seafood and peas over the barley.
  11. Cover and cook for5 - 10 minutes oruntil barley is tender.
  12. Makes 4 servings.
