Apple Tarts With Ice Cream (Part 1) Recipe

  2. Preheat oven to 325.
  3. Roll out 1/2 dough till 1/8-in.
  4. thick & line six individual tart pans.
  5. Peel,core,& thinly slice the apples.
  6. Heat 3 tbs.
  7. butter in skillet, saute/fry apples 3-4 minutes.
  8. till golden brown.
  9. Sprinkle sauteing apple slices w/ sugar.
  10. Meanwhile,hot Calvados in saucepan.
  11. Pour hot brandy over apple slices, cover skillet for a few seconds,uncover,ignite.
  12. Fill tart pans w/ flambeed apple slices.
  13. Cut remaining 1-1/2 tbs.
  14. butter in 6 pcs, lay 1 piece on each tart.
  15. Drizzle hot Caramel Sauce over tart fillings to glaze.
  16. Roll out remaining puff pastry dough till 1/8-in.
  17. thick.
  18. Cut out tops to cover tart shells.
  19. Cut design in center of each top w/ cookie cutter;place on top of tarts,leaving sides open.
  20. Gently brush dough w/ beaten egg.
  21. Bake in preheated oven 30 minutes., till golden.
  22. Serve w/Caramel Ice Cream.
