Sour Cream Oven Doughnuts

  1. Heat oven to 425u0b0.
  2. Mix baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, sour cream and egg until soft dough forms.
  3. Gently smooth dough into ball on floured cloth covered board.
  4. Knead 10 times.
  5. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Cut with floured 2 1/2-inch doughnut cutter.
  7. Lift doughnuts carefully with spatula and place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  10. Immediately brush entire doughnut with melted butter; dip in sugar mixture, coating all sides.
  11. Or, if desired, spread with Creamy Glaze.
  12. Serve warm.
  13. Makes 10 to 12 doughnuts.
