Italian Pork Chops

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Trim chops of excess fat.
  3. Sprinkle with seasoning salt and pepper.
  4. Saute until brown in pan, draining fat as it collects.
  5. Place chops in 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Arrange mushrooms around chops.
  6. Set aside.
  7. In another skillet, saute in salad oil the onions, garlic and pepper strips until golden brown.
  8. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, bay leaf, lemon juice and sage.
  9. Simmer covered until vegetables are fork-tender. Pour sauce over chops and bake 1 hour covered.
