Burdock Root Wine
- 1 or 2 burdock roots, peeled
- Peel of 1 orange, in one piece
- 2 whole cloves
- About 1 1/2 bottles (1.1 liters) of no-frills red table wine
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- Put the burdock, orange peel, cloves, wine, and sugar in a 2-quart (2-liter) Mason jar.
- Cover tightly and shake well.
- Strain the mixture into a clean bottle and cap.
- Store the tonic in the fridge for 2 months, then enjoy.
