Three Cereal Muffins Recipe
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. Grape Nuts
- 2 c. Shredded Wheat
- 2 c. boiling water
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening (2/3 c. oil)
- 4 Large eggs or possibly 8 whites
- 1 tbsp. salt (optional)
- 1 quart. buttermilk
- 5 c. flour
- 5 teaspoon baking soda
- Soak cereals in boiling water.
- Set aside.
- Cream sugar and shortening.
- Add in Large eggs, salt and buttermilk.
- Add in flour and soda.
- Combine with cereal mix.
- Bake 20 min at 350 degrees.
- This makes a large batch.
- Cover and store up to three months in refrigerator.
