Irish Coffee

  1. Put the sugar cube into a glass coffee mug and add the whiskey.
  2. Fill the mug nearly to the top with coffee.
  3. Using a spoon, gently ladle a 3/4-inch-thick layer of cream over the top of the coffee.
  4. Garnish with the creme de menthe and serve immediately.
