Cajun Ponchartrain Sauce Recipe

  1. In a medium saucepan, saute/fry mushrooms in 1 tsp.
  2. butter till tender.
  3. Stir in shrimp, and cook till pink.
  4. Transfer to a bowl.
  5. In the same saucepan, heat the remaining 2 tsp.
  6. butter.
  7. Slowly fold in cream.
  8. Stir in the shrimp and mushroom mix, and season to taste with garlic pwdr and black pepper.
  9. Simmer over very low heat till thick.
  10. Just before serving, stir in wine.
  11. Makes 2 servings.
