Apple Pancakes With Syrup
- 1000 ml flour
- 30 ml baking powder
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 30 ml oil
- 3 apples, chopped up
- 900 ml milk (I use skim)
- 10 ml cinnamon
- 2 ml nutmeg
- 2 ml allspice
- 2 ml cloves
- 5 ml salt
- 800 ml unsweetened applesauce
- 250 ml brown sugar
- 250 ml Splenda sugar substitute
- 400 ml apple juice
- For the syrup, combine in microwaveable dish, the brown sugar, Splenda, apple juice, 5 ml of the cinnamon, and 500 ml of the applesauce.
- Heat to boiling.
- For the pancakes, combine in a bowl the flour, baking powder, and spices (including the other 5 ml of cinnamon); then add the milk, eggs, oil, chopped apples, and the rest of the applesauce from the jar.
- Grill pancakes on preheated grill sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Respray grill between pancakes.
