Crispy Cheese Burger Sliders

  1. For the burger:
  2. Remove the seeds from the jalapeno pepper (unless you like more heat).
  3. Dice the jalapeno pepper and garlic.
  4. In a medium sized bowl, add the ground beef, diced jalapeno pepper and garlic.
  5. Then add the pepper and mix all of the ingredients together.
  6. Next, form the mixture into 4 patties.
  7. In a small skillet over medium high heat, brown the hamburger patties on both sides.
  8. For medium-rare, this will be about 5 minutes per side.
  9. Before the hamburger patties are done, pile one cup of shredded cheese on top of each patty.
  10. Cover the pan with a lid.
  11. When the cheese has melted and spread over the bottom of the pan and has gotten crispy, remove the burgers and the cheese crisps from the pan and set aside while warming the buns.
  12. For the buns:
  13. Add the butter to a large skillet on medium heat.
  14. Put the buns into the skillet face down so that the inside of the bread gets covered with the butter.
  15. Cook until the inside of the buns are a golden-brown toasted color.
  16. For the assembly of the Crispy Cheese Burger Sliders:
  17. Set the crispy cheese burger on top of the bottom side of the bun.
  18. Add a touch of your favorite dressing (ranch, blue cheese, mayonnaise or whatever you like).
  19. Slice the avocado and tomato.
  20. Next, add a slice of tomato on top of the burger.
  21. And then add some of the avocado, a dash of pepper and a dash of salt.
  22. Lastly, add the top side of the bun to the crispy cheese burger.
