Appelkaka
- 750 g apples, cored and sliced
- 60 g butter
- 50 g dried white breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- you can substitute cinnamon for 50gr chopped almonds (or use both if preferred)
- Butter and ovenproof dish and arrange in it the layers of apples, breadcrumbs, thin flakes of butter, sugar and either the cinnamon or chopped almonds, finishing with a layer of breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 180c, for about 30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with cream or custard.
