Kossuth Kiflie - Half Moon Cakes

  3. bowl,
  4. beat egg whites.
  5. Add 1/2 cup sugar and cream of tartar; set aside.
  6. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  7. Add
  8. egg yolks (2 at a time); beat well until good and creamy.
  9. Add
  10. lemon juice, vanilla and lemon extract.
  11. Mix baking powder
  12. with
  13. flour
  14. and
  15. add
  16. to mixture at low speed. Fold in egg
  17. white.
  18. Pour into greased and floured pan, 9 x 12 x 2-inches. Mix
  19. 1/2
  20. cup
  21. chopped
  22. nuts
  23. andt/4 cup sugar; sprinkle on top.
