Pork and Red Cabbage
- 4 cups shredded red cabbage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 12 cup apple cider vinegar
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 3 lbs boneless pork shoulder
- 1 cup water
- Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper and brown in heavy skillet, about 5-6 minutes, turning until browned on all sides.
- Combine cabbage, onion, brown sugar, vinegar and water into slow cooker.
- Place pork in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
