White Lasagna
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Gouda cheese
- 8 oz. lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, remove casing
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 tsp. basil
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasonings
- 1 c. light cream
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- In a large saucepan, cook noodles, drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook meats, celery, onion and garlic until meat is browned and vegetables tender.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in spices; add cream and cream cheese.
- Cook and stir until melts.
- Stir in wine.
- Gradually add cheeses, stirring until melted; remove from heat.
- Combine cottage cheese and egg.
- Layer noodles, meat, melted cheeses and cottage cheese mixture.
- Cook 30 to 40 minutes at 375u0b0.
- Serves 6 to 8 people.
