Snickerdoodle Cookies

  1. Cream butter and sugars in large mixing bowl.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture.
  4. Chill.
  5. Shape dough into 3/4-inch diameter balls.
  6. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon.
  7. Bake in 325u0b0 oven for 8 to 12 minutes until when pressed gently with a finger in the center, they don't indent.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before removing from pan.
  9. Yield: Approximately 3 dozen.
