Shumai Wrapped in Cabbage

  1. Boil the cabbage.
  2. Chop each leaf into fourths.
  3. Mix all ingredients for the shumai filling with your hands and divide into 12 portions.
  4. Wrap the filling around with cabbage, and cover with plastic wrap.
  5. Microwave for about 7 to 8 minutes at 500W.
  6. Ready to serve.
  7. Also top with corn kernels.
  8. Here's a variation using bitter gourd (goya).
  9. This one here is squid shumai.
  10. It's also good with shiitake mushrooms.
